In manufacturing CFR Insul-Solar^TM, thin-film solar laminate is fused to the surface of the roofing panel substrate. The panel/laminate bond that's created has been tested and proven to withstand winds of 160 mph.

The flexibility and durability of this laminate make them ideal for metal roofs, where expansion, contraction and curving are considerations. Unlike polycrystalline photocells that are heavy and fragile, no roof penetrations and no additional structural support are required. In fact, you can walk on the laminates, which maintains the roof's overall serviceability.

And when it comes to generating electricity, compared to any other technology, CFR Insul-Solar's solar laminates, manufactured by United Solar Ovonics, achieve higher relative efficiency under high temperatures and low light.

Unique Features and Benefits

The CFR Insul-Solar roof panel provides exceptional benefits including a standing seam exterior face for unsurpassed weathertight performance. The expansive panel width options contribute to installation savings because there are fewer side joints to seal. CFR Insul-Solar roof panels are installed completely from the top side with concealed clips and fasteners placed in the side joint. Factory cut panel ends, factory notching and factory swaged ends eliminate critical and extensive field reworking and reduce erection costs. Factory installed backer plates at the endlaps also eliminate pre-drilling for special fasteners and fastener tools.
