AIA Continuing Education – Sponsored by the Metal Construction Association

1. MCA offers a one-hour continuing education program for insulated metal roofs. The presentation, titled “Foam Core Metal Roof” addresses features and benefits, materials and finishes and follows with uses and applications. AIA members and other attendees receive one (1) CEU and HSW credit for the course, which is presented in a box lunch format. 2.  MCA has just completed development of a new program, titled “Mineral Wool Panels in Fire Resistive Wall Construction”. The presentation covers the components of mineral wool panels and how the products are manufactured. Other areas addressed include product limitations and handling techniques, fire resistive test methods and criteria for approval, basic fire constructions, and how mineral wool panels fit within the constraints of the IBC code.
