Metl-Span Expands Production Of Tuff-Cast

METL-SPAN EXPANDS PRODUCTION OF TUFF-CAST

Metl-Span has expanded production of its Tuff-Cast insulated metal wall panel.  Tuff-Cast, which combines the masonry look of finished precast concrete with the thermal efficiency of an insulated wall panel, is now produced at Metl-Span’s plant in North Las Vegas in addition to the company’s Prince George, VA facility.

Tuff-Cast’s exterior surface is a factory-applied hard aggregated fiber-reinforced polymer coating called Tuff-Cote® which is offered in seven standard colors.  The Tuff-Cote finish is an exceptionally durable, impact and abrasion resistant coating that withstands severe weather conditions.  The precast texture of Tuff-Cast meets the aesthetic requirements of many communities and business developments.

“The increasing demand from west coast markets clearly indicated the need for greater capacity and closer production,” according to Doug Pickens, vice president, sales & marketing.  In addition to the Nevada and Virginia plants, Metl-Span also operates production facilities in Indiana as well as the company’s primary facility in Lewisville, TX.
